Head Start students Matthew Haines, left, and Cody Crace give Sparky the Fire Dog a hug following a fire prevention presentation at the Head Start in Libby on Thursday. The presentation taught children how to avoid fire and what to do in the event of a fire.

This year the Fire Prevention Team targeted mainly the young.

They are considered to be high risk loss of life group and the team  felt that we needed to spend extra time teaching them about fire safety.
